Greetings! Please allow me to introduce myself. I am Japheth Lemuel, Publisher & Peddler. Welcome to my blog, The Purveyor of Dreams.
Why do I style myself a Publisher & Peddler? This is because I want to self-publish and sell books. Books that are written by me or by others. I also want to reprint select Public Domain works that I believe are worthwhile. My intention is to turn this website into a profitable business model that will eventually enable me to quit my day job and to pursue that which truly inspires me.
I am an avid reader and an aspiring writer. I enjoy a well written story. Almost any genre excites me, but I do have a particular fondness for mystery and adventure, science fiction and fantasy — and, romance.
I want to write stories and convince others to write their own. To this end, I’ll provide content that I find useful. This may come in the form of how-to tutorials, lists of tips, or anything that catches my eye.
Of course, I also want to showcase the work of other authors whom I enjoy. The first of these authors can be found here and the books here. If you derive any merit from their efforts, please consider supporting them by purchasing a book or by leaving a review on one of their sites.
I look forward to good times ahead and to making new friends. I’d like to close this introductory post with a quote by T. E. Lawrence that is very important to me.
“All men dream: but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dreams with open eyes, to make it possible.” — T.E. Lawrence
